About Us

Denise Verchimak

Hello! My name is Denise Verchimak and I look forward to working with you!

Life can pull us down and sometimes we need a little help to re-balance and get back on track. I believe in creating a safe place for you to share your experiences. In sessions with clients, I use a warm, encouraging model of counseling that allows you to share your deepest thoughts and concerns. I have great respect for my clients and am constantly in awe of how much people are balancing in life or how much they are dealing with emotionally.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). I have a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and a post Master’s certification in Couples and Family Therapy, using Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy. I am trained in the Bader-Pearson Developmental Model of counseling for couples and also incorporate a wide range of therapy modalities. I believe in positive psychology and have published a Positivity Challenge; 21 Days to Living a More Positive Life. I have extensive experience in workplace leadership. I am proud of my ability to build strong teams.

I focus on relationships - relationships in couples, families, friends or coworkers. Gaining insight into how people think, feel and act that is often different from the way you think, feel and act is a game changer. Learning to appreciate and embrace these differences is even more critical. Whether it is to strengthen a relationship or make a cohesive team, I can help!

I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, military family supporting and I welcome work with individuals, families and couples. I can be reached at:
